Brett Rogers
Resume
Brett is an actor, presenter and tutor with extensive experience in Film, Television and Theatre. He graduated with a Bachelor of Dramatic Art from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 2009. At NIDA, Brett featured in a range of productions directed by some of Australia’s most respected directors, including Kate Cherry, Gale Edwards and Darren Gilshenan. In 2016 he was a recipient of the Mike Walsh fellowship which enabled him to study Advanced Screen Acting at The Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York City.Film credits include All About E, Before the Rain and Jimmy Tennison as well as the short films Myselves, Gaza Strip, Chick Habbit, and Dark Decisions. Theatre credits include The Little Dog Laughed for The New Theatre, Trolley Boys for TRS, The Knowledge for Pantsguys and This Uncharted Hour for Performing Lines. Brett has appeared in the ABC TV Series Rake, and toured Australia with Terrapin Puppet Theatre, performing in Boats, which in 2012 won a Helpmann Award for Best Children’s production.
Originally from Tasmania, Brett performed for companies such as Big Monkey, Hobart Rep and the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra.
Brett has been a core tutor with NIDA Open since 2010.
