Safety and Inclusion
NIDA is committed to, and takes responsibility for, providing a creative environment that is inclusive, encouraging and safe for students who engage in our programs across Australia. Our courses allow beginner, emerging and established artists to explore and develop their unique creative potential under the guidance and leadership of our experienced and appropriately trained staff and tutors.
We provide this environment by:
- Clearly defining what students, families and teaching artists can expect from their experience in our programs through the articulation of NIDA’s Values and Expectations and our enrolment terms and conditions.
- Employing appropriately trained and experienced industry professionals with a passion for teaching.
- Providing ongoing training to all management, administrative and teaching staff through regular professional development.
- Ensuring all staff in child related employment hold a relevant Working With Children Check or equivalent police background check.
