Eleni Cassimatis

Eleni Cassimatis is a Sydney-based actor, and a graduate of the Actors Centre Australia. Eleni’s theatre credits include productions of Macbeth, Hamlet, The Comedy of Errors and In A Nutshell for Bell Shakespeare. She was also a member of Bell Shakespeare’s national touring company The Players in 2020 and 2021. Other theatre credits include Timon of Athens for Sport for Jove Theatre Company, The Maids for That Theatre Co., Icarus for Mark Bolotin; Everyone I’ve Ever Loved… for Revolving Days; pool (no water) for Sydney Fringe Festival which she also produced; Twelfth Night (Heads or Tails) for Virginia Plain; and A Snowflake on the Tongue of Oberon for The Red Square Collective. In 2019, Eleni toured around Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and the United Arab Emirates, performing in four plays for Poetry in Action.
Eleni’s film credits include the comedy web series Tales from 88 for Mustard Lover Films; sometimes I get these feelings directed by Michael Becker; Eleni’s Confessions directed by Eirena Sapounas; the Flickerfest finalist Gecko alongside Tiriel Mora and directed by Reuben Field; and Greek-Australian short film It Takes a Village, a Sony Catchlight Film Festival Finalist, directed by Amelia Pieri.
Eleni’s voice work includes the indie short Time Stamp. Eleni is a proud MEAA member.
When Eleni is not performing, she coaches acting for Stage, Screen, Shakespeare, Voice, and Auditions, for young people through to adults, at NIDA, Bell Shakespeare, Village Nation Performing Arts, Southern Cross Catholic College, and independently with private coaching.
