Unleash your inner Jedi warrior at Rogue Force Academy. Embark on an action-packed mission, creating characters including Rey and Luke Skywalker. Develop original scenes inspired by your favourite Star Wars adventures and enhance your Jedi skills in practical voice, movement and acting workshops. Showcase your devised scenes to an intergalactic senate of family and friends.
Taught by our dedicated NIDA Open teaching artists, renowned for their expertise in performance and teaching, this course offers a dynamic and immersive environment where creativity thrives. Dive into the world of Star Wars, develop confidence, unleash your imagination, and explore essential performance techniques in this fun intergalactic adventure.
Course components
- Character Development: Develop a unique character for live performance
- Spontaneity: Use improvisation in live performance. Apply improvisation techniques to the development of a new rehearsed work
- Physical Awareness: Take command of your physical presence on stage. Practice movement and performance skills through physical exercises and training.

- Flights and accommodation: From time to time we may need to cancel an advertised course. Before booking flights and accommodation for travel to attend a NIDA Open course, please contact the NIDA Open office to confirm if your course will proceed as planned. NIDA does not accept liability for any associated costs of attendance or cancellation.
- Please ensure that you have given a valid email and mobile number as any course changes will be communicated via email or sms.
- Please wear comfortable clothing you can move in for all drama and performance related courses. Clothing that restricts movement is inappropriate.
- Please wear closed-in shoes. Shoes may be removed in the rehearsal room on the direction of the class tutor.
- Participants must provide their own lunch, including snacks and drinks.
- Children attending primary school grade equivalent holiday courses must be signed in and out by a parent or guardian.
- NIDA staff will supervise students in courses for Grades 3–6 and Grades 7–10 in their breaks. These students will not be permitted to leave the advertised venue without parental permission.
- If you are running late to collect your child, please call NIDA reception on 02 9697 7600. NIDA will only provide supervision during advertised course times.
