NIDA Neverland, Grades K-2
Holiday course
With a pinch of fairy dust and a hand full of courage, follow Peter and Tinkerbell into the wild and wonderful Neverland. Adventure through forests, fly on the wind and save your friends from the clutches of Captain Hook! Create characters and develop original short stories inspired by the adventures of Peter Pan.
Course components
- Creative Voice: Participate in fun and engaging exercises to develop new ideas and learn how to share them with others.
- Storytelling: Explore stories, character adventures and creative problem solving through group and individual improvisation.
- Characters: Experiment with vocal and physical expression to create characters for performance.
- Performance and collaboration: Work with others to build a creative idea into a short, devised presentation.
Prerequisites
This course is designed for children who attend full time school (NSW Kindergarten equivilant). If your child is not yet attending school, please see our selection of Creative Play courses designed for pre-school children.
Important information

- Flights and Accommodation: From time to time we may need to cancel an advertised course. Before booking flights and accommodation for travel to attend a NIDA Open course, please contact the NIDA Open office to confirm if your course will proceed as planned. NIDA does not accept liability for any associated costs of attendance or cancellation.
- Please ensure that you have given a valid email and mobile number as any course changes will be communicated via email or sms.
- Please wear comfortable clothing you can move in for all drama and performance related courses. Clothing that restricts movement is inappropriate.
- Please wear closed-in shoes. Shoes may be removed in the rehearsal room on the direction of the class tutor.
- Participants must provide their own lunch, including snacks and drinks.
- Children attending primary school grade equivalent holiday courses must be signed in and out by a parent or guardian.
- NIDA staff will supervise students at all times. Students are not permitted to leave the advertised venue without parental permission.
- If you are running late to collect your child, please call NIDA reception on 02 9697 7600. NIDA will only provide supervision during advertised course times.
