NIDA Acting 101, Grades 11-12

Holiday course

Sharpen your performance skills through a comprehensive workshop with a theatre practitioner drawing on NIDA acting techniques. Develop key principles of actor training, and extend into characterisation and scenework. Interpret, rehearse and present some of the most exciting writing produced for young people today.

Course components

• Apply key principles of NIDA Acting Techniques in scripted performance
• Develop engaging characters through improvisation and rehearsal processes
• Collaborate with a creative team to engage audiences and bring stories to the stage

• Please ensure that you have given a valid email and mobile number as any course changes will be communicated via email or sms.
• Please wear comfortable clothing you can move in for all drama and performance related courses. Clothing that restricts movement is inappropriate.
• Please wear closed-in shoes. Shoes may be removed in the rehearsal room on the direction of the class tutor.
• Participants must provide their own lunch, including snacks and drinks.
• Students in courses for Grades 11–12 will not be supervised during breaks and are free to leave the venue at designated break times should they wish.
