Learn how to acquire Standard English accents through practical phonetics. Discover the vast array of English accents and develop your skills in hearing the fundamental differences between them. Breakdown and practise a selection of these accents e.g. Estuary, RP or Standard British.

• Practise of accents with given texts

• Understanding of the vast array of English accents
• Ability to recognise the difference in sounds between selected accents.
• Ability to create a process to rehearse a given accent.

• Please wear comfortable clothing you can move in for all drama and performance related courses. Clothing that restricts movement is inappropriate.
• Please wear closed-in shoes. Shoes may be removed in the rehearsal room on the direction of the class tutor.
• Please bring along a pen, notebook or electronic device and a bottle of water to all classes.
