NIDA Online: Producing for Theatre and Live Performance
Adults (18+)
Level: Beginner
Explore the essentials of getting your show in front of an audience. You will learn how to plan your production to ensure a professional delivery and gain insight into budget planning, scheduling, engaging a strong production team and developing a dynamic marketing plan. This course will focus on the production of independent, small/medium budget theatre shows and live performances.
Learning Outcomes
- A sound understanding of accurate and professional budgeting no matter how small or large your project
- The ability put into action a realistic plan for your own project
- Knowledge of venues and opportunities predominantly in Sydney and NSW
- A realistic understanding of financing and financial resources for the arts sector

- Desktop, laptop or mobile with microphone and webcam
- Internet connection
Time Commitment
- Face to face: 4 × 2 hour sessions
- Pre-course work: 60 min reading
- Self-directed learning: 60 min writing/research activity between each session.
